Hedging
and tree diseases and cures
Disease
can affect hedging plants and ornamental shrubs as much as it
can fruit trees and bushes. The same rules apply to plants in
this respect as to people. In general unhealthy, hungry, neglected
and weak trees are more likely to become infected than healthy
ones. So as part of your gardening, try to make sure that you
keep your plants happy, healthy and strong. If you are not sure
what to do, take a look at our note on Hedging and Tree Feeding
and Hygiene. Having said which, even the healthiest plant can
catch something unpleasant. Here is a list of (what we think
are) the more common diseases and conditions that can affect
woody plants.
