DELIVERY FAQ's
Cost.
Delivery (by unguaranteed next day courier) is £8.30+ VAT
unless it is for standards, fruit trees or potted plants, when
it is £12.55+ VAT. Highland, Grampian and Isle of Wight
postcodes suffer a courier surcharge which is added at checkout.
All charges are irrespective of the size of order and are calculated
at checkout.
Area.
We deliver to the UK mainland and the Isle of Wight only.
Proof of delivery
Unless your order is over £250.00 we will leave safely without
a signature
Delivery Date
Confirmations show the Monday of the week of despatch
- we do not promise to deliver on any given date. Deliveries to
surcharged areas are on a 3 day service and can arrive late. Delivery
dates are weather dependent - we do not ship during or immediately
after freezing weather. Plants are packed so they can safely be
left in their wrapping for 7-10 days before planting, although
we advise unwrapping them, dunking the roots in a bucket of water
for 10-15 minutes, putting the roots back into the packaging so
they stay moist and keeping in a cold place until planted.

OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ORDERS ON ANY OTHER
1. AVAILABILITY, PRICE & VAT
Your order is accepted subject to availability. VAT is excluded
from all prices in our catalogues and website.
2. SUBSTITUTION & SIZING
If a plant variety or size is unavailable it will be replaced
with a suitable substitute variety or size without price change.
Please let us know if substitutions are unacceptable. Sizes shown
are indicative as plant growth varies widely between one year
and the next. Therefore please tell us in writing when ordering
if oversize plants are unacceptable.
3. PAYMENT & TITLE
Payment is due with order. Where payment remains outstanding,
title remains with Ashridge Trees Limited until full payment has
been received
4. COMPLAINTS AND LIABILITY
Plants are warranted as being good quality, healthy stock. If
you are unhappy with your purchase, return the plants within 7
days by a signed for service and we will refund their cost. You
recognise plants are perishable and we have no control over the
conditions in which you keep them, the ground in which they are
planted, the manner in which they are planted or the way in which
you tend your trees afterwards. Their health is your sole responsibility
from delivery.
5. GUARANTEE
Nevertheless, if more than 5% of any barerooted plants (including
standards, roses and fruit) that you buy from us die and be reported
to us before the end of June following planting, we will replace
them free of charge at the start of the next season, if:
- you did not suffer from a hosepipe ban
- you send us clear, in-focus photographs (preferably digital
to sales@ashridgetrees.co.uk) and a sample plant for analysis
as soon as you think there is a problem and
- you meet the costs of carriage for the replacements.
This guarantee, which in no way affects your legal rights, is
subject to plants being planted and looked after in line with
the care notes from this web site it is void if they have been
removed before we have had a chance to inspect them. Our liability
is restricted to replacement or refund at our option
6. CONTRACT
Your order concludes a legally binding contract incorporating these Conditions of Sale and excluding all others
7. PRIVACY
We keep your details. These let us send you catalogues & care notes. We never share them with third parties |
