Gooseberry, Rokula (dessert)

Rokula is red dessert gooseberry. The fruit are large, red, round and the best gooseberries you have ever eaten. Straight off the bush. Like Invicta gooseberries, Rokula is disease resistant. It is also an excellent gooseberry to train on 3 horizontal wires between stakes when it crops very heavily indeed. Ideal to go on the end of a row of raspberries. Our Rokula gooseberry bushes are bare-rooted and each have between 3-5 shoots of 20-25cms. Unless training on wires (when they can be spaced at 80 cms) plant gooseberries at 140 cms centres and with 150cms between rows.
