Redcurrant, Junifer (early)
Junifer redcurrants crop appreciably are earlier than Rovada (for redcurrant gluttons) and unusually for a currant they crop on both this and last year’s wood. The fruit is tasty (although the flavour is not as strong as Rovada) and high yielding.
Junifer redcurrants should be spaced at 1.40 metres between plants in each row row and about 1.5 metres between the rows themselves.
