Barberry, Darwin's (Berberis darwinii)

Darwin's Barberry (Berberis darwinii) is one of the great all-round shrubs, the evergreen Darwin's Berberis works well as a specimen or in a hedge. Scented orange/red flowers are carried in great clusters throughout spring, followed by edible purple berries in summer. The small leaves are dark green, and older leaves turn red in the autumn.
